2. HOW COUPIAN CURRENTLY USES COOKIES
Coupian's current Platform does not use third-party advertising technology to track visitors across unrelated websites for behavioral advertising.
Coupian does not currently sell information collected through cookies to advertisers or data brokers.
Coupian currently uses a first-party attribution identifier and may use technical browser storage necessary to operate Platform functions.
The cookie and similar-technology inventory will be reviewed before launch and whenever Coupian adds or changes website technology.

3. COUPIAN ATTRIBUTION COOKIE
Coupian currently uses a first-party attribution identifier known internally as:
`cpn_vid`
Purpose
`cpn_vid` allows Coupian to determine whether an Event Ticket sale resulted from a visitor's interaction with Coupian's own discovery surfaces.
Certain Event Organizers may voluntarily participate in Coupian's discovery program.
Under that program, an Organizer may be charged a discovery fee only when Coupian determines that Coupian's own discovery surfaces sourced the applicable sale.
The attribution identifier helps Coupian make that determination.
Information Stored
`cpn_vid` contains or is associated with a random identifier.
It is not intended to contain your name, email address, payment-card number, or Event Ticket admission code.
Who Receives It
The identifier is used by Coupian for its own attribution purposes.
Coupian does not provide `cpn_vid` to third-party advertisers for behavioral advertising.
Profiling
Coupian does not use `cpn_vid` to create a behavioral advertising profile of you across unrelated websites.
Logged-Out Visitors
The identifier may be set when you visit Coupian even if you are not signed into a Coupian Account.
Duration
Proposed configuration: `cpn_vid` should expire no later than ninety (90) days after creation unless engineering determines that a shorter attribution period is sufficient.
Any materially longer attribution period should be reviewed before implementation and reflected in this Cookie Notice.

4. STRICTLY NECESSARY AND SECURITY TECHNOLOGIES
Coupian may use cookies, browser storage, tokens, or similar technologies that are reasonably necessary to:
* maintain a secure session;
* allow Account login;
* authenticate users;
* protect Accounts;
* maintain checkout functionality;
* preserve temporary Ticket inventory holds;
* prevent duplicate transactions;
* detect fraud;
* prevent automated abuse;
* enforce rate limits; or
* maintain other requested Platform functions.
These technologies are used to provide or protect the Platform rather than for behavioral advertising.
ENGINEERING REQUIREMENT BEFORE PUBLICATION: Coupian must complete an inventory of all production cookies and local/browser-storage entries and add the applicable names, providers, purposes, and expiration periods to this Notice.

5. BOT AND SECURITY TECHNOLOGY
Coupian uses Cloudflare Turnstile for bot and abuse protection.
Turnstile may process technical signals associated with your browser, device, request, or network for the purpose of distinguishing legitimate activity from automated or abusive activity.
Any cookies or technical identifiers used by Turnstile should be classified as security or necessary technologies to the extent they are required to protect the Platform.
Coupian does not use Turnstile for behavioral advertising.

6. HOSTING AND INFRASTRUCTURE
Coupian uses service providers such as Vercel and Supabase to host and operate the Platform.
Those providers may process technical request, session, network, or application information in the course of providing their services.
Such processing is described further in the Coupian Privacy Policy.
If any infrastructure provider places a browser cookie or similar identifier that is not strictly necessary to provide the Platform, Coupian will add it to this Cookie Notice and provide any choice required by applicable law.

7. ANALYTICS AND VIEW COUNTS
Coupian maintains information such as:
* offer view counts;
* Event-page interactions; and
* The Buzz article view counts.
Coupian does not currently use third-party behavioral advertising technology for these purposes.
If Coupian later adds a third-party analytics platform, advertising pixel, social-media tracking pixel, cross-site advertising technology, or similar technology, Coupian will update this Notice and implement any additional notice or privacy controls that are appropriate or legally required.

8. WHAT COUPIAN DOES NOT CURRENTLY USE
Based on Coupian's current Platform configuration:
* we do not use third-party behavioral advertising cookies;
* we do not use advertising pixels to follow visitors across unrelated websites;
* we do not provide the `cpn_vid` identifier to advertisers;
* we do not use `cpn_vid` to build a cross-site advertising profile;
* we do not currently sell personal information collected through website tracking to advertisers or data brokers; and
* we do not currently operate third-party ad technology on the Platform.
If these practices change, this Cookie Notice and the Coupian Privacy Policy must be updated before the changed practice is implemented where required.

9. YOUR COOKIE CHOICES
Most browsers allow you to control cookies through browser settings.
Depending on your browser, you may be able to:
* view stored cookies;
* delete cookies;
* block particular websites from storing cookies;
* block all cookies; or
* configure other privacy preferences.
Blocking cookies or browser storage that are necessary to Coupian's operation may affect features such as Account login, checkout, security, or other Platform functions.
Deleting `cpn_vid` may prevent Coupian from associating a later Event purchase with an earlier Coupian discovery interaction.

10. COUPIAN COOKIE CONTROLS
If Coupian provides a cookie banner, preference center, toggle, or other privacy control, the control will be designed to accurately describe what it does.
Coupian will not intentionally represent that a visitor has disabled a category of tracking while continuing to use that category contrary to the visitor's selected preference.
Coupian will test privacy controls when:
* they are introduced;
* tracking technology changes;
* a new tag or service is deployed; or
* material Platform changes affect tracking.

11. INFORMATIONAL COOKIE NOTICE
Where Coupian uses an informational cookie notice rather than an opt-in consent banner, the notice should not imply that cookies are withheld until a visitor clicks an “Accept” button if Coupian has already deployed those cookies.
For example, Coupian may display:
Coupian uses necessary technologies to operate and protect the Platform and a first-party identifier to measure whether our own discovery pages lead to Event purchases. We do not currently use third-party behavioral advertising cookies. Learn more in our Cookie Notice.
If Coupian later deploys technologies for which prior consent is required in an applicable jurisdiction, Coupian will implement appropriate consent controls for those technologies.
